Alaska's Homeschool Law
Independent Homeschooling: A Great and Legal Choice for Alaskan Families!
Alaskan families are extremely blessed with the best homeschool law in the nation. We are totally free to educate our children in the manners which best suit our families. We are under absolutely no state or public school mandates or authority if we exercise our rights to homeschool without taking any public funding. Does this sound too good to be true? It's not - The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has richly blessed independent homeschoolers in Alaska, and we thank Him and praise Him for this. Here's a quote from the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development,
"Children schooled at home by their parents or guardians are exempt from the Compulsory School Attendance Law. Parents are not required to register with the state or their local school district, and no testing or other requirements are placed on home schools not funded with public dollars."
